Spring Dressing: A Return to Color
With spring, my wardrobe starts to shift. After mostly wearing neutrals in fall and winter, I begin to bring color back in. I tend to reach for tones like butter yellow, soft green, baby blue, and light pink, often paired with white or denim. The base of what I wear doesn’t change much, but the overall feel does.
I also notice myself adding more small details, like a bandana or a flower hair clip that matches the outfit. It’s not about changing everything, just adding color in a way that still feels natural.
Looking at these outfits, I notice how much I start to bring color back in during spring. In fall and winter, I usually stick to darker tones like black, brown, and deep red, so this shift feels noticeable.
I start reaching for softer colors like baby pink, blue, and yellow, which I don’t usually wear as much during the colder months. It makes me experiment more with how I put outfits together, even if I still keep things relatively simple. Denim becomes a big part of what I wear during this time. I find myself reaching for denim jackets and even denim sets more than in any other season. It works well with the lighter colors and makes everything feel balanced. I am still layering and wearing jackets, but the combinations feel lighter and a bit more relaxed. Adding color in this way feels different for me, but also natural once the season changes.
